2. Hosting and server log files
The website runs on a server in Germany managed by our IT service provider CYBWORLD; the data centre is operated by IONOS SE, Montabaur. Data processing agreements are in place with both.
When you visit the site, the server automatically stores data sent by your browser: IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, referrer and browser identifier. This is technically necessary to deliver the website and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest.
3. No cookies, no analytics
We set no cookies and use no analytics, tracking or advertising services. Fonts and all parts of the website are served from our own server. If you tick “Remember for this visit” on the booking page, this setting is stored only in your browser’s session storage and deleted when you close the tab.
4. Online room booking (Sirvoy)
We use the Sirvoy booking system for room bookings. The booking form only loads when you explicitly click “Open online booking” on the booking page. Your IP address and the details you enter (e.g. name, contact details, travel dates, payment details) are then transmitted to Sirvoy and processed there to handle your booking (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Sirvoy may set its own cookies. For more information see Sirvoy’s privacy policy at sirvoy.com.
5. Contact by phone, e-mail or WhatsApp
If you contact us, we process your details to handle your request, such as a reservation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.
WhatsApp is operated by WhatsApp Ireland Limited; data may also be transferred to the USA. Using it is optional – you can always reach us by phone or e-mail. The WhatsApp button is a plain link; no data is sent to WhatsApp before you click it.
6. Map link
“Plan your route” is a plain link to OpenStreetMap. No map is embedded; you only leave our website when you click it.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Please contact us at the address above. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the Brandenburg State Commissioner for Data Protection and Access to Files.
